Aeon Mall (2 locations)
The most comprehensive supermarkets in Phnom Penh. Substantial imported section (cheeses, charcuterie, wines, European beers, organic products). Air-conditioned, clean, English-speaking cashiers.

Are European products easy to find?
Yes, in Aeon supermarkets and fine food shops. Pasteurised cheeses (emmental, brie, camembert) are available; raw-milk cheeses are rarer. French and Italian wines are stocked at Aeon. Budget accordingly as Cambodian import duties significantly mark up the price of imports (wine 2–3x the French price).
Is tap water drinkable?
No. Use filtered or bottled water. Expats generally order 20-litre water canisters (1.50–3 USD each) delivered to their home.
Are there organic or farmers’ markets?
The Farmers Market (some weekends) brings together local producers and organic delis. Little Farms delivers semi-organic vegetable boxes. European-style organic produce remains rare and expensive.
Can you negotiate prices at the supermarket?
No. Prices in supermarkets are fixed. At the market, negotiation applies to non-food items (textiles, crafts); for fresh food, prices are rarely negotiable.
